Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, with a strong emphasis on sheet metal fabrication diagrams.
- Work to precise specifications in order to ensure consistently high-quality output.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Operate tools and machinery, including brakes, shears, drills, and grinders, safely and confidently.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to optimise production processes.
- Carry out manual handling duties, which may involve some heavy lifting, following correct procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
- Participate fully in training and induction programmes as part of ongoing development.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in an assembly, production, or sheet metal role is highly desirable.
- Confidence and proficiency using tools and machinery such as brakes, shears, drills, and grinders.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings and instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong motivation to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
