Warehouse Manager
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

The Role
As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the heartbeat of the operation at the Chelmsford site. You will lead a dedicated team to ensure the seamless receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This role may also involve providing operational support and oversight at their Felixstowe facility, requiring a leader who can manage workflows across multiple locations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse flow to ensure high throughput and maximum efficiency.
- Multi-Site Coordination: Manage and align operations between the Chelmsford and Felixstowe sites as required.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of high performance.
- Process Optimisation: Implement and maintain robust systems to track inventory and operational KPIs.
- Safety & Compliance: Act as the primary lead for site safety and adherence to health and safety legislation.
- Strategic Planning: Optimise warehouse space and resource allocation to meet demanding transport deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proven Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse Manager role or equivalent within a technical logistics environment.
- Inventory Mastery: Expert knowledge of stock location management, audits, and wastage reduction.
- Systems Proficiency: High-level understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and digital integration.
- Technical Background: Ability to manage the safe use of heavy lifting equipment and specialist warehouse machinery.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for effective cross-functional coordination.
