About the Role
All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading engineering firm based in Chelmsford, Essex, to recruit a dedicated Stores Operative to join their busy logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business on a temp-to-perm basis, playing a key role in supporting the flow of materials through the facility, from intake to dispatch, ensuring production teams have exactly what they need to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with regular stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy across the stores and warehouse areas.
- Handle and move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Carry out manual handling tasks in line with correct health and safety procedures.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring all accompanying documentation is accurate and complete.
- Support the intake of new stock, checking deliveries and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock control processes.
- Work collaboratively with the wider logistics and production teams to meet daily requirements.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, keeping the stores and warehouse environment safe and organised.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role is essential.
- Competence in manual handling, with a good level of physical fitness.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and stock counting.
- A reliable, hardworking attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a strong team-working ethic.
